Italian opera remains a popular form of entertainment throughout the world, with works by its most eminent composers being performed every day on a stage somewhere. Both poetry and drama are considered literary genres. As a whole genre it’s pretty enjoyable, but I’m not too familiar with any particular bands. It forms the last great frontier in Western music.
